Renton – Community Leader Marcie Maxwell announced her campaign for Mayor of Renton on January 18, 2019.
Her decision to run for mayor followed Renton Mayor Denis Law’s retirement announcement.
“I want to thank Mayor Law for his long-time city leadership. He and his management team have strengthened the city’s finances, continue to prioritize public safety, and are working to guide growth in Renton’s neighborhoods and businesses.”, stated Maxwell. “My intention is to listen to constituencies, and to build on and improve our city’s goals and policies so that both residents and businesses can thrive where they live, learn, work, play and stay. I bring proven experience and trusted relationships with local residents and civic partners, with regional and state officials, and with inclusive communities and organizations that will all benefit our growing city as we deal with more and greater regional challenges and opportunities ahead.”
Marcie has served our city, our region and our state in elected office, special appointments, organizations, and in business.
