Renton – Community Leader Marcie Maxwell announced her campaign today for Mayor of Renton. Her decision to run for mayor follows Renton Mayor Denis Law’s recent retirement announcement.
“Mayor Law has been an outstanding leader for our city. I’ve worked closely with Denis and his management team throughout his three terms as they have strengthened the city’s finances, prioritized public safety, emphasized customer service, and guided growth in Renton’s neighborhoods and businesses.”, stated Maxwell. “My intention is to build upon Mayor Law’s legacy so that both residents and businesses can thrive where they live, learn, work and play. I bring proven experience and inclusive relationships with local and regional officials, organizations and communities that will benefit our growing city as we deal with more and greater regional challenges and opportunities ahead.”
Marcie has served our city, our region and our state in elected office, special appointments, organizations, and in business.
